adn-ui
Getting Started

Agent Skills & npx skills

Learn how to equip AI coding assistants with adn-ui component design rules, Base UI primitive state bindings, and validation workflows using npx skills.

Agent Skills & npx skills Integration

adn-ui includes pre-packaged Agent Skills that can be installed directly into any workspace using npx skills. This equips autonomous AI coding assistants (such as Antigravity, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, or custom agents) with instant knowledge of adn-ui modular slot patterns, Base UI state bindings, icon conventions, and verification workflows.

Quick Installation

Install the adn-ui skill directly into your project's .agents/skills/ directory by running:

npx skills add awaiden/adn-ui

Or install using the full GitHub repository path:

npx skills add https://github.com/awaiden/adn-ui

What Gets Installed

Running npx skills add awaiden/adn-ui populates .agents/skills/adn-ui/ in your workspace with:

File / FolderPurpose
SKILL.mdCore agent skill specification, coding rules, component creation steps, and verification commands.
references/component-architecture.mdDeep-dive guide covering the 7-file slot pattern (.tsx, .variants.ts, .css, .context.ts).
references/mcp-server.mdParameter specs and JSON response schemas for all 7 MCP tools.
references/skills-cli.mdCLI reference for managing skills with npx skills.

How AI Assistants Use Installed Skills

Modern AI coding tools (Antigravity, Cursor, Claude Code) automatically discover .agents/skills/ when loading project context.

  1. Progressive Activation: The agent reads SKILL.md description on startup and dynamically loads reference files when building or editing adn-ui components.
  2. Strict Rule Enforcement: Ensures icons always use lucide-react, styles are handled via CSS selectors in *.css files, and compound components follow @base-ui/react primitives.
  3. Verification Integrity: Automatically runs bun run test and bun run types:check before completing component tasks.
